Super cilia skin facade
A super cilia skin facade is a tactile & visual system consisting of an array of individual actuators (cilia) that use changes in orientation to display images or physical gestures. This multi-modal interactive membrane can improve interpersonal haptic communication because it is multi-modal, so that gestures can be seen, or images be felt.
